The Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV) is a 4×4 wheeled combat vehicle, which has been designed and developed to meet multiple mission capabilities of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). It can be configured with interchangeable modules for different mission variants, including patrol, ambulance, convoy protection and mortar carrier. The TAPV is armed with an advanced dual remote weapon station (RWS), operated by both the vehicle commander and gunner from within the vehicle, and can mount both a C6 7.62 mm general purpose machine gun and either a HK GMG 40 mm automatic grenade launcher or a M2HB 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.
